Welcome!

There's much to see here. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about our females. The first four dogs are Greta, Tillie, Lady, Liebe, and Maggie. These are all of our current breeding females.

We will soon be adding Gina and Mia - both have passed their PennHIP tests! Gina is a Dayna/Kaiser puppy and Mia is a Greta/Bear puppy. So, watch for their updates!

At the bottom of our page are our retired females, Mady and Dayna. They are enjoying their retirement right here at Schutzhaus German Shepherds. So, be sure to check them out as well.

All of our dogs are AKC registered. The puppies will get the AKC application for you to register your puppy when you adopt him or her.

NOTE: Please remember that all of our puppies, who are adopted, are not to produce any litters. Our puppies are adopted as pets only.

PennHIP Testing

Robin Krumm of Royalair German Shepherds was trying to find a conversion to the OFA equivalent, with no luck so here is what she came up with (we are using this conversion with permission). Since we are really only concerned with the normal range for the breed, logically:

0.250 to 0.397 = Excellent (Greta, Gina, and Maggie)

0.398 to 0.545 = Good (Lady and Liebe)

0.546 to 0.69 = Fair

Anything better than 0.249 (Tillie and Mia) is obviously rare right now but would be Superb if OFA were to go there.

Therefore, make sure to check out all of my dogs' testing results with each dog. Each dog's PennHIP results are listed with each dog. As you will notice, my dogs have fantastic hips.

Glory Be Schutzhaus Greta

Greta (Pearl)

Greta was born February 2021. She is a Royalair's puppy from Glory Be German Shepherds. She is a champagne color. She may look white. However, she has the champagne top-coat color. We are hoping for a lot of color with her and Kaiser. Greta is our Dayna's half-sister. Her sire is Steadfast's-Royalair's Silver Struck CGC (Stryker). Stryker is a silver sable. Her dam is Royalair's Glorious Blue Rose (Rosy). Rosy is a blue.

Testing: Greta has had her Embark testing completed and she is completely clear of over 200 genetic health conditions that Embark tests for. Greta's parents are both DM normal. Since both of Greta's parents are DM normal, she is also DM normal based on parentage. Greta is DM normal based on Embark testing. Greta's PennHIP distraction index was 0.25. Her PennHIP test is shown below.

Greta is going to be a big girl, like her sister, Dayna. At 10 months old Greta was 88 pounds. Since she still has a lot of growing to do, she is going to be a very big girl topping at well over 100 pounds. I predict her to be about 115 pounds when mature. She is a very sweet and gentle little lady with a very loving personality. Greta has been easy to train and is very smart. We are taking deposits on Greta's next litter and we do have several spots available.

Salhaus' Tillie of Schutzhaus

Tillie (Mighty in Battle)

Tillie was born in April 2021. She is a Salhaus puppy from Salhaus German Shepherds. She is a black and tan. Her sire has the Royalairs Bloodliine - Royalair's Standing Ovation of Salhaus (Bravo). Bravo is a black and silver. Her dam is Salhaus Coastal Morning Mist (Gray). Gray is black and tan.

Based on what we see right now, she is going to be a stocky girl. Tillie is the traditional Black and Tan saddle-back color. She still has a lot of growing to do. Based on Tillie's Embark test, she is going to be a large female. Tillie weighed 83.5 pounds when she got her PennHIP test done. I predict Tillie will be a stocky 110 pounds when mature. Tillie loves to play with the other dogs and is very athletic. She is very sweet and loves attention. Tillie is very clever and uses her intelligence to maneuver well while playing with the other dogs.

Testing: Tillie has had her Embark testing completed and she is completely clear of over 200 genetic health conditions that Embark tests for. Tillie's PennHIP distraction index was 0.19. Her PennHIP test is shown below. As you can see, Tillie has phenomenal hips. This would be considered supurb if OFA was to ever go there. Tillie's parents are both DM normal. Since both of her parents are DM normal, Tillie is also DM normal based on parentage. Tillie did test DM normal based on Embark testing. We have started taking deposits on this beautiful girl and she does have some spots available.

Menards Legendary Schutzhaus Lady

Lady (noble)

Lady was born in June 2021. She also has the Royalair's German Shepherd bloodlines. Her sire is Menard's Legendary Royalair's Natsu. Natsu is bicolor. Her dam is Menard's Legendary Ardent Haus Koa. Koa is black and tan, but she is a very light black and tan.

Lady's color has been hard to figure out. We thought she was a black and tan. However, her true colors have finally come out and she actually is a dark black and tan sable. This is due to her under coat being a different color than her top-coat. Either way, as you can see by the photos, Lady has a lot of color. I predict Lady to be around 85-95 pounds when she fully matures. Lady is very playful and energetic. If you are looking for a puppy to run with you or go on hikes, I highly recommend one from Lady. She is a very happy and an intelligent little lady who loves to have her belly rubbed.

Testing: Lady has had her Embark testing completed and she is completely clear of over 200 genetic health conditions that Embark tests for. Lady's PennHIP test reveals her hips to be in good range with a distraction index of 0.41. Her PennHIP results is shown below. Lady's parents are both DM normal. Since both of her parents are DM normal, she is also DM normal based on parentage. Embark testing revealed that Lady is DM normal. We are taking deposits on this beautiful little lady.

Lady will soon begin extensive training for her CGC Title followed by the FTI title and hopefully the search and rescue title. Watch for updates on this really smart girl!

Schutzhaus Young Maggie

Maggie (Child of Light)

Maggie was born in May 2022. She is a black and tan and looks a lot like her mama, Mady. Maggie also carries the Royalair's German Shepherd bloodlines. Her sire is our Kaiser, Ardent Haus Kaiser of Schutzhaus. You can learn more about him on our males page. Her dam is our Mady, Royalair's Schutzhaus Mady.

Maggie is stocky, but a short-framed female. We predict Maggie to be around 75-80 pounds when she fully matures. Maggie is very playful. If you are looking for a puppy to run with you, play fetch, keep your children busy, but don't want a large dog, we highly recommend a puppy from Maggie. She is very happy and an intelligent little lady.

Maggie's PennHIP test reveals her hips to be in good range with a distraction index of 0.35. Her PennHIP results is shown below. Maggie's parents are both DM normal. Since both of her parents are DM normal, she is also DM normal based on parentage. We are taking deposits on this beautiful little girl, who looks so much like her precious mama, Mady.

Schutzhaus Young Liebe

Liebe (Love)

Liebe was born in May 2022. She is a litter mate to Maggie. Although she is registered as a black and cream, she is now looking like she has changed to a black and silver. Liebe also carries the Royalair's German Shepherd bloodlines. Her sire is our Kaiser, Ardent Haus Kaiser of Schutzhaus. You can learn more about him on our males page. Her dam is our Mady, Royalair's Schutzhaus Mady.

Liebe is a lean female. We predict Liebe to be around 75-80 pounds when she fully matures. Liebe loves to run and is very playful. If you are looking for a puppy to run with you, play fetch, keep your children busy, but don't want a large dog, we highly recommend a puppy from Liebe. She is very intelligent and learns things quickly.

Schutzhaus Young Gina Vom Dayna

Gina (Queen)

Gina was born in June 2022. She is a Dayna puppy. Gina is a beautiful silver sable. She also carries the Royalair's German Shepherd bloodlines. Her sire is our Kaiser, Ardent Haus Kaiser of Schutzhaus. You can learn more about him on our males page. Her dam is our Dayna, Royalair's Dayna of Schutzhaus.

About Gina

Gina is a lean female. We predict Gina to be around 80-85 pounds when she fully matures. Gina is very loving and loves to climb up in your lap. She is calm, like her mama, Dayna. Even though Gina is smaller than Dayna. I think she could get a lot bigger than what I predict her to be at maturity. We will be monitoring her as she continues to mature. She is very intelligent and learns things very quickly.

Schutzhaus Mia Vom Sackett

Mia (My Darling or Mine)

Mia was born in June 2023. She is a Greta puppy and litter mate to our male, Duke. Mia is a stunning silver sable. She, as well, carries the Royalair's German Shepherd bloodlines. Her sire is our son's male, Salhaus Barnabus Vom Sackett (Bear). You can learn more about him on our males page. Her dam is our Greta, Glory Be Schutzhaus Greta.

About Mia

Mia is a very stocky, big-boned female. We predict Mia to be around 95-105 pounds when she fully matures. Mia is a sweetheart! She is very calm and loving like her mama, Greta. Since Mia is Duke's sister and Bear's Daughter, Mia can only be paired with Kaiser. This pairing will be phenomenal. Mia, like her mama Greta, is a plush coat. They will be large, gentle, and loving.

Testing

Mia's PennHIP test reveals her hips to be in suburb range with a distraction index of 0.22. Mia's parents are both DM normal. Since both of her parents are DM normal, she is also DM normal based on parentage. We will be taking deposits on this gorgeous, big girl once her PennHIP test scores are approved. Keep in mind, Mia will not be bred until after June.

Mia's training will begin soon. We are planning on Mia acquiring her CGC (Canine Good Citizen) title soon. Watch for her updates!

Royalair's Schutzhaus Mady

Royalair's Dayna of Schutzhaus

Mady was our very first female. She had beautiful babies that loved to play fetch and go on walks or hikes. Mady is a true lady and a gentle soul, unless you want to play fetch, LOL. She is enjoying her retirement right here on our small farm. To carry-on Mady's legacy check out her two babies, Liebe and Maggie, that are being added to our breeding program.

Royalair's Dayna of Schutzhaus

Dayna is a beautiful tri-sable. She had babies with a lot of color. She also had long haired babies. Her babies like to play in water and play with lots of toys. She is enjoying her retirement right here on our small farm by playing with the other females' babies and is a great babysitter. To carry-on Dayna's legacy, keep an eye out for her baby, Gina, that will be added to our breeding program soon.
